20 years in beauty · 12 years PMU · Worlds USA 2026

Tris Nguyen

First in Hair Strokes Device. Second in Lipstick Effect. A private studio for brows, lips, and lashes that are judged after they heal.

Why her

Twenty years in beauty. Twelve in permanent makeup.

Cosmetic makeup first. Then the needle — brows, lips, lashes — long before the medals.

The artist

Tris Nguyen

Twenty years in cosmetic beauty. Twelve of those in permanent makeup — hair strokes, lips, lashes — in a private Chesterfield studio, the first in the county zoned for the craft.

In 2026 she took first place in Hair Strokes Device and second in Lipstick Effect at Worlds USA. The trophies sit in the studio. The hours did not change.

In the chair

Hair strokes, one at a time.

She works the brow. Then the camera sits on the needle.

How she works

A quiet room, a ring light, and a hand that knows when to stop.

  • Healed, not fresh

We mix and map for the face you’ll have in two months, not the one you leave with today.

  • Mapped to your bone

Shape follows the architecture you already have. Trends that don’t sit on your face don’t get used.

  • Stop when it’s enough

Saturation is easy. The last pass is often the one we don’t take.

  • One client at a time

Private room. No salon floor, no overlapping appointments, no shared attention.

What they said after it healed.

I filled my brows every morning for twenty years. Tris mapped a shape I did not know my face already had. Three months healed, they still look like mine.

Midlothian · Hair Strokes

I was afraid of that overdone lip-blush look. This is a stain. My husband noticed I looked rested. He did not notice I had anything done.

Elena V.

Richmond · Lipstick Effect

The studio is quiet. No chatter, no rush. She works like a surgeon who happens to have taste.

Priya S.

Henrico · Powder Brows

Worlds champion or not, what I felt in the chair was patience. She stopped when it was enough.

Catherine L.

Chesterfield · Hair Strokes

My lash line used to disappear without mascara. Now I can walk into a meeting with water on my face and still look finished.

Hannah R.

Short Pump · Lash Line

I flew in from Charlotte. The consultation was more honest than three local studios combined. She told me to wait six weeks on my skin. I did.

Grace N.

Charlotte · Lipstick Effect

She redid brows another artist had blown out. I didn't think they could be saved. They look like I grew them.

Giza, 2026

She flew to Cairo with Operation Smile. Between clinic days, someone offered a horse. She said yes.

Questions.

How long does permanent makeup last?+

Healed work typically holds one to three years depending on skin, sun, and skincare. A yearly tint keeps the shape without starting over.

Does the procedure hurt?+

A topical anesthetic is used throughout. Most clients describe pressure and vibration more than pain. Lips are more tender than brows; we pace the appointment accordingly.

When will I see the true result?+

Color is strongest in the first five days, then softens as the skin heals. The real result shows between week four and week eight. That’s what we design for.

Who is a candidate?+

Healthy skin, realistic expectations, and a preference for natural over theatrical. Pregnancy, certain medications, and active skin conditions may require waiting. Consultation is required.

How do I book?+

Every new client starts with a consultation. Call, write, or send the form. A deposit holds the chair. We map the face first — the appointment follows.
