Biography

An artist who treats the face as architecture.

Tris Nguyen spent twenty years in cosmetic beauty before the medals — color, faces, and the habit of judging work in daylight. Twelve of those years have been permanent makeup: hair strokes, lipstick effect, lashes, in a private Chesterfield studio.

She built what is believed to be the county’s first officially zoned facility for cosmetic tattooing. One artist. One client. Mapping that follows bone, not trend.

In 2026 she took First Place in Hair Strokes Device and Second Place in Lipstick Effect at Worlds USA. The trophies sit in the studio. The hours did not change.

When Operation Smile asked her to join a mission in Cairo, she said yes immediately: “Finally I get to do something bigger than what I’ve known.”

A short timeline

  1. 01Beauty

    Twenty years on the face.

Cosmetic beauty makeup first — color, mapping, and the habit of looking at someone in daylight. That eye is older than the machine.

  2. 02PMU

    Twelve years in the needle.

Permanent makeup and brow tattooing: hair strokes, lips, lash line. The photograph that counts is the one taken after it heals.

  3. 032016

    A private room in Chesterfield.

Tris opened Lavish as a one-artist studio, then spent years getting the county to zone it for cosmetic tattooing. A quiet room with medical discipline — not a chair in a hallway.

  4. 042026

    Worlds USA, two categories.

First place in Hair Strokes Device. Second in Lipstick Effect. The trophies live in the studio because that’s where the work happens.

Healed, not fresh

We mix and map for the face you’ll have in two months, not the one you leave with today.

Mapped to your bone

Shape follows the architecture you already have. Trends that don’t sit on your face don’t get used.

Stop when it’s enough

Saturation is easy. The last pass is often the one we don’t take.

One client at a time

Private room. No salon floor, no overlapping appointments, no shared attention.
